The Romanian Music Industry Awards
The Romanian Music Industry Awards is Romania’s first independent annual platform dedicated to recognizing excellence across the music industry, bringing together both the recorded music and the live music sectors.
Each year, we celebrate the artists, professionals, projects, and achievements that contribute to the growth and evolution of Romania’s music industry, through an awards ceremony developed to international standards.
The Romanian Music Industry Awards is an initiative that brings the entire industry together to celebrate excellence and recognize the contributions that deserve to be seen and acknowledged. It is an experience built around music, people, and achievement, being a concept that unites artists and the professionals behind the industry’s most significant projects.
Our goal is to establish a credible, transparent, and relevant benchmark for the industry: a space where achievement is recognized, contribution is valued, and the people who make music happen have a place on the same stage.
The Romanian Music Industry Awards celebrates excellence, recognizes contribution, and shines a light on Romania’s music industry.
How the Romanian Music Industry Awards Works
A process designed to reflect an evolving industry.
The Romanian Music Industry Awards aims to create an annual recognition system that is relevant to the entire Romanian music industry.
From identifying outstanding achievements to celebrating the winners on stage, the process is built around six essential principles:
Independence
Independence is at the core of the project’s credibility and guides the way its nomination and selection processes are designed.
Representation
The Romanian Music Industry Awards brings together professionals from across the entire music ecosystem: from artists, songwriters, and producers to record labels, publishers, managers, and live music professionals.
Excellence
The Romanian Music Industry Awards celebrates the artists, professionals, projects, and achievements that have made a meaningful impact on Romania’s music industry.
Transparency
The Romanian Music Industry Awards builds its nomination and selection process around clear criteria and rules, communicated transparently to participants and the wider community. The goal is simple: a professional, easy-to-understand process designed to inspire trust.
Community
The Romanian Music Industry Awards brings together a professional community (“The Academy”) uniting the people who contribute to the growth and development of Romania’s music industry and providing a platform for recognizing and celebrating achievement. Because a strong industry is defined not only by its achievements, but also by the connections between the people who shape it.
Evolution
The Romanian Music Industry Awards addresses the need for official recognition, professionalization, and meaningful validation of achievement within Romania’s music industry through an awards system built to global standards and designed for the local industry.
The Academy
The Romanian Music Industry Awards Academy brings together active music industry professionals and gives them a direct role in the nomination and recognition process.
Those who know the industry from the inside are best positioned to recognize its achievements.
